There have been a few requests for these so we took the time to create 15 brand new presets! This one has a more cinematic feel, there are still a couple of “every day” presets, but there was an emphasis on epic.
We have included a behind the scenes look on how the presets were made, as well as our custom picture style!
CANON PICTURE STYLE
The Marvels Cine Picture Styles have become the standard for getting the most dynamic range out of your footage. My preset (NFflat) takes what’s great about this picture style and enhances it. I love what the Marvels Cine one does for the highlights, but I personally tend to shoot things underexposed if anything. I’m usually fine on highlights.
What my picture style does differently is, it leaves a little more on the highlights. This ends up giving you a little more breathing room when Color Correcting by not losing all skin tone with the heavier colors. The following example shows the Canon Standard Pictures Style, the Neumann Films Flat style, and the Marvels Cine 3.3 style.
I personally carry both on the camera and switch between the two depending on what I’m shooting (people or landscapes).
