For over a long time in history, many people have been fans of the film entertainment industry all over the world. Many of these are fans of movies and music and they will watch movies any time they are free. Many movies have been produced and distributed to many parts of the world. As such, there are people who love movie stars they have never seen physically but just see them in movies. These are the people who frequently visit cinemas and movie theaters for latest movies viewing.
That is perhaps the reason why the film industry has been growing at a very fast rate over the time. From the time filming was done using very crude means to date when the world has gone digital, the industry has seen many changes.
The world of film entertainment has come a long way since the times when movie distributors had to post a reel on a can to distribute their new films or use someo or DVD in their physical format. Today, the technology in use embraces latest film media to relay movies to fans from various parts of the world.
Modern broadcasting studios use satellites and cables to record and even relay these movies. The Internet allows movie fans to even download these movies and enjoy them in whatever format they want once the movies are at their ends. This has been made easier by the presence of bandwidth in some areas where there are thousands of movie fans.
Today, digital cinema allows almost all theaters convert to digital projection. Through this technology, modern cinema receives movie films for showing through the satellite, broadband channel or the Internet. This way the industry becomes more efficient and makes fans enjoy watching their favorite movie from any part of the world.
This is quite contrary to the prediction of many people who thought with the introduction of television and the Internet, film industry would collapse. In any case, what has happened is improvement of the industry to embrace latest media technologies. For instance, the industry was not replaced by the conventional video because the quality of the image it supports could not be blown up to fit the size of the screen for theater. The film was found to be superior when compared to large screens. Even the introduction of high definition television and digital distribution channels and storage has not seen to the replacement of films.
?
Therefore, it is apparent that the film industry is going to last and be used by many people for a very long time. This is perhaps due to its high quality resolution and contrast that many cinematographers consider not to be easily replicated by the modern digital facilities.
Thus, many experts in the cinema world consider the stability of technology used in the film industry as having no similarity with majority of modern movie producing technologies. They further advise that the film technology should not be discarded without consideration of its benefits.
This clearly shows that despite the fact that modern media technologies have revolutionized the world of film by introducing digital formats of storing and transmitting movies, we cannot shift completely to that and thus do away with the old ways of carrying out operations in the film industry.
